Just finished watching Vanilla Sky.. it was good!!! "Every passing minute is another chance to turn your life around" =p Penelope Cruz seemed to get cuter as the movie went by.. hahah.. sure was trippy though. I bet it'd be fun to watch that movie drunk or something =P
Anyhow, today we moved our main text class to the other side of the monastery.. it's longer, but narrower.. and boy was it stinky in there today! Especially where Samten and Ali sat (right by the hallway you come in where everyone leaves their shoes)! Yuck! I had to move as soon as I sat down next to Samten.. hahaha. That reminds me, now that it's winter.. classes stink!! I don't know how I'm going to survive. It's kind of gross.. you look at some people's feet (especially some westerners it seems) and their soles are like.. freakin black!!! WTF?! Don't you wash your feet?!?! ughhhhhhhhhh grosss!!! Maybe they like.. grew skin over dirt from their younger days.. or maybe they're just not that sanitary.. hehe.
After classes I went over to take a look at Kopan Monastery (4 or 5 miles up the mountain) with Ali, Caroline, and this nice Tibetan dude named Tsering (I think.. all Tibetans seemed to be named Sonam, Tsering, or Nyima o.O). We got up the hillside right when the sun was setting.. it was pretty nice scenery. If only I was there w/ a significant other!!! Sigh, missed romantic moments hehehe.
We were kind of nervous about walking today cuz there was another Bandh today. Yesterday the Maoists set off 4 bombs around the city to warn people about the Bandh I guess.. luckily no fatalities from the bombs. Bleh, it was getting so peaceful too >.<
