okee.. the next few blogs from this week will be quite boring if you guys don't like basketball.. because we're in the middle of the tournament now!! ^_^
Today we played against Dharan, a city outside Kathmandu Valley. Their basketball team isn't so bad actually, the British Gurkhas stay there so they have facilities set up and there are quite a few ballers in Dharan. However most of the best players are participating in a Dharan tournament there right now, so we only got a few of the good players mixed with some so-so players. But I guess they weren't quite prepared to play our team (average height 5'10''... well I guess I bring down the average but it's all good lol ^_~). We started off to a 16-0 run in the first few minutes of the game and kept lengthening our lead since. The ref didn't really like me today, as he called me for a traveling when I did a headfake and then one of the Dharan guys jumped on top of me o.O Oh well, at least some people in the crowd still cheered for me even though I sucked today hahaha. Maybe it's the hair =P Fourth quarter our shooter Anil lit on fire and sank 3-pointer after 3-pointer. Samten also got pumped and did two dunks. It wasn't that tough of a game, as we didn't really play defense except go and double/triple team a guy trapped in the corner (which would usually be bad, leaving lots of his teammates open, but they couldn't get out muhahahaha). End score, 124-67.
Non-basketball news, I can't believe what a small world it is over here hahah. Samten and I were looking out the window of his place last week when a lot of people were passing by and noticed this one girl who looked Chinese and kind of cute.. and we're like.. who's that? So then.. a few days ago, Samten's brother met her while walking from the Wangs and they all had dinner together.. it turns out she's Taiwanese and lives above Samten.. and then I met her yesterday. lol. Yup, definitely a small world =P
