Yesterday was pretty funny. Ashley went over to Marinas and both of them were going to come out with us (Samten, Raphael, Chris, Alicia and I) at night. They spent like.. half the freakin day doing makeup/hair.. hahaha girls.. go figure =P So yeah, anyways, we were all ready to go party with the basketball team, celebrating our finals victory and all (which was shown on TV this morning =P)... but apparently the guys went to party on Tuesday and got in a fight at fire club... freaky Nepalis.. anyhow, the manager got sent to jail and just got released yesterday... so in short we didn't go out with those guys. Instead, we decided on dinner and whatever else we could do since Marina had to be home by 10:30pm. We were just driving around with no direction, when suddenly, Pakchok Rinpoche drives past us with his family in their jeep. So for lack of something better to do, we decided to follow them =P. They ended up going to the Yak and Yeti Hotel to eat, so we said hi.. then suddenly it occured to us that it was Chinese New Year's Eve! We HAD to go eat Chinese. So we headed up to the Royal Singh Hotel whcih was quite near, and went to the top floor to eat at this Chinese restaurant. It was quite funny over there... there was one huge table with dozens of Chinese people sitting around it.. later we found out half of them were Cantonese, half of them Mandarin.. straight down the center. There wasn't much conversation, except toasts in either cantonese or mandarin every few minutes =P It was quite hilarious, but it does make sense.. if you don't understand each other, toast and drink more alcohol! =P They were also playing some show from Mainland celebrating New Yrs that they probably got through satellite. So over all the environment was pretty nice.. unfortunately, the rest of the dining experience wasn't. Ashley ordered in Chinese, and i dunno.. maybe the waitress (from Sichuan) didn't like her Taiwanese accent or something.. because even with all of us eating-machines at the table, she gave us all small portions of what we ordered.. and then after 3 plates I was like.. is this a large? no it's a small.. o.O wtf.. they made the last 3 dishes large, and gave us 15% discount.. but still.. arghhhh i was so looking forward to pigging out on Chinese food hahaha. The Chinese food wasn't that great either, but it sufficed.. also we were like, oh one of our friends can't eat that spicy food, so can you make the Mapo Tofu less spicy? and she's like.. oh it's not that spicy, i think eh can eat it.. and it turned out to be sizzling spicy!! grrr =P After that it was still 9pm, so we went to Scores bar and played some pool. I showed my horrible skills and Ashley and I lost to Chris and Marina (with Samten shooting a few for them) hehehe. After the game Marina wanted to hit the dance floor and was trying to drag Ashley along, but then it was time to go, so alas, the girls did not get to dance.
One thing that sucks is that it's raining now over here.. which makes the dirt ground really muddy. Walking around town to goto bars and stuff really sucks too =P At least last night Raphael was nice enough to drive the car from the parking spot to Scores before getting us heheh.
Today we went over to Lincoln School with the intention of playing basketball.. but nooooooo the guards wouldn't let us in.. bastards.. so we hung out at the Java (one opened up right outside lincoln.. lucky guys) for a few hours, and right when we were goign to leave we met a guard Jigdel knew and he let us in. finally!!! yup, playing in a real indoor court again was sooo nice =)

yup, indoor courts of Lincoln, it's actually quite a revolution to have something like that in Nepal =)
