Sunday bball again.. today we added another arsenal to players who play with us.. a guy who used to play at Yale.. Samten's height, quite good, loooong range.. yup, getting new good players to play with is always nice ^__^ Today was such a hot day.. in fact, it was so hot I was on fire in the game!! muahahah, even when Guam (the 6'2'' french guy) got his fingertips on 2 of my shots they still went in.. >=)
Yesterday was the last night of Jazzmandu, held at the Rox. What the heck is Jazzmandu? It was an international jazz concert that toured around Nepal. Some of the performers are actually somebody (as in they're not nobodys :P). Ralph Thomas is this sax player that signed with Motown records and played with people like Marvin Gaye and stuff before. Joel said back when he was in England he heard of Natalie Williams. Other people who performed included Australia's Affro Dizzi Act, Nepal's Cadenz, and the Jamie Baum Quartet. Yup, danced and partied all night until 1:30am. Affro Dizzi Act and Natalie Williams really got the crowd into it.. Cadenza played some nice Latin/funk beats, but they HAD to have a solo for each of their bajillion members!! >.< But yeah, overall it was pretty cool. If only Hyatt's dance floor was bigger!!! urghhh. Well anyhow, going partying later. Tomorrow (or tuesday) is the Nepali festival of "HOLY." Everyone throws water balloons at people with water and dye and whatnot.. it gets supposedly quite crazy. pre-holy celebrations started already.. I got balloooned while IN THE CAR!! Some guy threw the balloon through the window!! ARGHHHH =P
