What a long day.. stayed out for almost 12 hours.. during that time i got to sleep in class, watch Lost in Translation, and catch a $2 showing of Finding Nemo (yeah, i FINALLY saw that movie now =p). oh yeah, changed our room a bit, unbunked the beds, moved some stuff around, it feels quite nice now ^_^

Lost in Translation is one of those real life type pieces that can happen to anyone. It's about Bill Murray, an actor going through mid-life crisis while doing a job in Tokyo, meets a friend in Scarlett Johansson who's accompanying her husband in Tokyo.. her husband is too busy with work and doesn't focus on her at all, hence her crisis.. while the story sounds like it can be good, it just doesn't carry through nicely.. Heck, not to sound arrogant or anything but I probably could have dramatized a story from Nepal or Japan trips in the past 2 years and it'd be somewhat similar.. k, the beginning is quite funny though, but after a while it kind of drags out. it left me feeling kinda empty after the movie, and dinner @ palladium was kind of a mellow affair. thankfully, after night class i got to see finding nemo, which was so much more uplifting and entertaining. pros about Lost in Translation.. great acting, it keeps the movie going somehow. although maybe i would have liked the movie more if I didn't understand Japanese.. cuz then it woulda been funnier.. =p
