Saw Kill Bill finally yesterday... what can I say, there are definitely some kick ass moments in that movie. Some of it is stark beautiful. But the excess of carnage makes it laughable in many parts. Seriously, after watching this film, you realize how much more powerful is the suggested rather than the graphic. I mean, it's more intense seeing Uma Thurman hack at someone and then seeing blood fly onto her rather than a fountain spray out of some guy's neck. Anyways, another thought on the movie.. it can't decide whether to be completely kick ass or completely corny hong kong knockoff. Being both just doesn't work for me =p oh yeah, and Lucy Liu is sooooo badass in this movie, normally I don't even like her but wow.. she's cool hehe. ...except for her Japanese, gawd I never heard an Asian person with such a crappy accent when they speak.. even Uma Thurman speaks better Japanese than Lucy Liu!!! also look out for something from Production IG in this movie ^_~
If only they didn't make Uma's scene in black and white... it doesn't really add to any effect, instead making everything lose some detail in my opinion.. maybe a slight color shade would have been good, but bleh, they don't do enuff crazy fighting to warrant the black and whiteness (although the fighting is some of the best since.. matrix1)
ooh, Tommi brought us back 2 fishes.. like whole ones that he caught while filming his short documentary on the sushi chef who goes out to catch his own fish. what a nice guy ^^ otherwise this monday was pretty normal, ooh yeah, ended up sleeping at 6am cuz we watched Four Feathers.. which was not too bad =p warrants a rental.
so yeah, new song of the week is Double's new single.. i like it a lot =p
